Claude Nobs made it his personal mission to document music history at the Montreux Jazz Festival from 1969 onwards. The "UNESCO Memory of the World archive“ now contains 5’000 tapes with more than 17'000 hours of concert recordings.

Having experienced the power of the archives at an exhibition, we felt the urge to dust off this cultural treasure and make it available to music nerds out there. Bridging the gap to contemporary musicians was just a logical consequence, as nothing comes close to a good live concert.
